EnThinnai has many of the features that are available in many of the Social Networking sites : buddy list, sharing of notes, contact information, pictures and other media files.
But it has many differentiating features:
» You are master of your own domain
» Buddies do not have to be part of EnThinnai
» Every speck of data is controlled for privacy...
So much so, one could call EnThinnai as an un-"Social Networking" application.

What is OpenID/Web address?
OpenID is an open, decentralized, free framework for user-centric digital identity. OpenID looks like a web address (URL or URI) and it is provided by a third party provider. An identifying web address (Indieauth) is a specially coded web page that links the address to one or more cooperating identity authorities (like email id, Twitter and Github) that can be used to verify the ownership of the web page. EnThinnai uses this mechanism exclusively for the purposes of identification and authentication. Read more about OpenID;Read more about Indieauth.
Why there is no need for Password?
Unlike the usual sign on procedure, EnThinnai will not collect password information. We will redirect you to your OpenID/OAuth provider, who will ask for it and will provide us the result (not the password). You should not share the password information with anyone except your OpenID/OAuth provider; you can do this by making sure that the address window of your browser shows your provider's address.
